The application and theory of instrumentation to chemical analysis is stressed. Emphasis is placed on spectophotometry (infrared, visible, and ultraviolet), potentiometry, and chromatography. Statistical quality control of analytical procedures and issues related to the safe use of hazardous materials are also included.
