Communications, Arts and Humanities Division

This program, designed to prepare a student for transfer to a variety of bachelor’s programs, provides an opportunity to develop creative writing in multiple genres by honing a reflective awareness of craft and aesthetic.

Program Competencies

Upon successful completion of the program, the student should be able to:

Develop a reflective awareness of aesthetic and creative process.
Demonstrate an ability to effectively participate in the workshop format.
Develop creative work that demonstrates mastery of multiple literary techniques.
Demonstrate an ability to professionally navigate the world of publishing.
