The course will cover the reasons tests are ordered and the interpretation of lab results in order to provide better patient care. The course will include medical terminology, clinical laboratory personnel, specimen collection, safety, infection control, and frequently ordered lab tests. Case studies will be used to correlate laboratory data with disease states.
