PHY 150 - Applied Physics


4 Credit Hours

This is an algebra-based course with some trigonometry designed for students in the engineering technology fields including nanoscience. The course provides the student with an integrated view of how the basic concepts of physics are applied to mechanical, fluid, electrical, and thermal systems. The course stresses accurate measurements, and the recording and manipulation of data.  Emphasis is placed on how physics governs the workings of their area of technology as well as it applications to every-day life.

Prerequisite(s): COM 098  or EAP 050  and EAP 060 , MAT 110  

Semesters Offered: Fall/Spring
