THR 120 - Introduction to Theater

Introduction to Theatre introduces students to the dramatic page-to stage process and focuses specifically on the collaboration among playwrights, actors, production team members and audiences. While examining theatre in historical and cultural contexts, students will see how each of the stakeholders in a production reads a script differently. In addition, students will gain an overview of the research, planning, and decision-making necessary to interpret themes on stage for a live audience.

Prerequisite(s): COM 098 or EAP 050 and EAP 060
