THR 142 - Audio Design 2 Credit Hours
This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of audio design in theatrical production. Topics include basic sound theory, equipment operation, sound system setup, microphone use, mixing, and playback techniques. Students will engage in hands-on activities to learn live sound reinforcement, recording, and playback systems used in theatre. Through practical in-person labs, students will build skills for roles in live audio support for stage productions and performance venues.
Prerequisite(s): COM 098 or EAP 060 and EAP 050
