The Early Childhood CDA Prep Certificate is designed to provide fundamental course work for entry level employment as an aide in the early care and education field. It also serves as the educational component for the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). The CDA is a national credential awarded through the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. Credits in this program may be applied to the Professional Child Care Certificate and/or Early Childhood Teaching or Management Associate Degree Programs.
Program Competencies
Upon successful completion of the program, the student should be able to:

- Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance for young children.
