Business Division

The Network Support Certificate is designed to develop the skills necessary to support computer networks that utilize Cisco connecting devices, and to prepare students for Cisco Certification. The knowledge gained from this coursework will prepare the student for entry-level jobs in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry and provides the prerequisites to pursue more specialized ICT skills. Coursework may later be applied to an Associate in Applied Science degree if the student desires.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows-based computer networks
  • Build, configure maintian, and troubleshoot networks using Cisco connecting devices
  • Implelment security measures to prevent and counter network attacks
