BUS 110 - Mathematics for Business and Finance 3 Credit Hours
This course is an introduction to mathematical reasoning analysis required to perform business and financial operations. Students will apply mathematical computations in the following areas: percentage rates, discounts, markups, markdowns, profit or loss, valuation of inventory, payroll, taxes, simple and compound interest, time value of money, annuities, amortization, sinking funds, yield rates of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and insurance.
Prerequisite(s): Appropriate score on math placement test or MAT 030 , MAT 032 , MAT 035 , or MAT 034
