Emphasis will be placed on all the hematologic cell series, anemias, leukemias, and other blood dyscrasias. Hematology and coagulation clinical laboratory procedures will be more fully covered to allow the student to function in a clinical hematology laboratory on an entry level of proficiency. The basis of hemostasis will be stressed. Testing for factor deficiencies will be covered in detail. Pathological factor deficiencies will also be covered.
