This program is designed to prepare the student to enter a baccalaureate program in Social Work on the junior level.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, the student should be able to:
- Demonstrate foundational-level Social Work professional and ethical behavior.
- Apply cultural competence, cultural humility and intersectionality to social work practice.
- Explain the significance of policy practice in the social work profession.
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice which utilizes research from multiple disciplines in client interventions.
- Articulate the ways in which the social service delivery system and social welfare policies impact client systems.
- Apply an empathic, client-centered, mindful and recursive Generalist Social Work process.
